Familiar Masters, Distributors Dominate Flexential Awards
Avant Communications produced more revenue than any other Flexential partner for the second year.
The colocation and hybrid IT provider honored master agents, subagents and a VAR for their revenue performance over the past year. Avant took the top prize.

Avant president and co-founder Drew Lydecker noted that colocation, infrastructure as a service and managed security scored highly as disruptive technologies in the company’s recent State of Disruption report. He said the Flexential partnership plays a key role in meeting some of the most pressing digital transformation demands.

Two other master agents took home awards. Intelisys won Master Agent of the Year — a title it also claimed last year. Flexential named Georgia-based MicroCorp its Breakout Partner of the Year.

MicroCorp president Phil Keenan called Flexential a key contributor to a successful 2018.
“It is an honor to be recognized by Flexential, a great partner in our journey of enabling digital transformation,” Keenan said. “Our unique approach to consultative sales with our partners has been met with enormous success over the last year.”
Richardson Communications and CDW won the respective Agent of the Year and VAR of the Year awards. CDW won the top reseller award for 2017 as well.
Melissa McCoy, Flexential’s vice president of channel sales, said the channel drove upward of 40 percent of new business for the vendor in 2018.

Flexential is the end result of Peak 10 acquiring ViaWest in 2017.The new entity called itself Peak 10 + ViaWest before rebranding in 2018. The company hired Melissa McCoy as its channel chief last summer.
