Rumor: Another MSP Software Company Acquired?

Another MSP software company has been acquired, according to sources close to the deal. An official announcement from both companies — the buyer and seller — will likely arrive within 24 to 48 hours, MSPmentor has heard. Here’s the early chatter for managed services providers (MSPs).

UPDATED: Sept. 16, 9:15am ET: The deal is confimed and involves eFolder buying Anchor to drive cloud backup, disaster recovery, file syncing and sharing services through MSPs and VARs.

In this latest deal, the resulting company will retain all employees and the existing partner programs, the rumor mill said. Both companies involved in the deal are known for offering recurring revenue opportunities and white label opportunities to MSPs. Instead of causing partner friction, MSPmentor expects the deal to create natural synergies for partners working with both companies.
