Peach Telecom today announced it has acquired the Nexus Business Group, an IT managed service provider (MSP) in Southhampton, UK.

UK-based telecommunications company Peach Telecom today announced it has acquired the Nexus Business Group, an IT managed service provider (MSP) in Southhampton, U.K.

The company also named Nexus Managing Director Gareth McQuaid as its new IT director. The deal enables Peach to offer customer a greater range of IT managed services, the company said.

Those solutions include the following:

  • Antivirus

  • Business continuity

  • Cloud services

  • Disaster recovery

  • Professional services

  • Security

Darren Scott-Healey, Peach’s CEO, commented on the acquisition in a prepared statement:

“With the convergence of telecommunications and IT, the acquisition has come at a perfect time. We are thrilled to welcome Nexus customers to the Peach family and to be able to offer a more comprehensive range of solutions to current and potential customers.”

Peach noted Nexus helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) “manage their IT smartly, efficiently and with practical costs.”

The company pointed out its new acquisition represents a significant milestone as well.

“This marks Peach’s fourth acquisition, and the purchase of Nexus is another part of the foundation which will underpin Peach’s strategy of becoming one of the top technology partners of choice to UK businesses. Peach has further plans for organic and inorganic growth,” Peach Sales Director Andy Miles added.
