Managed Services Acquisition: White Glove Grabs Another MSP

White Glove Technologies this week acquired RIATA Technologies, creating a $10 million-plus entity with more than 80 employees in Central and South Texas. Both companies are ranked in the MSPmentor 100. According to White Glove, the newly expanded company becomes the largest MSP based in Texas and focused solely on SMBs in the state.

White Glove, which operates offices in Austin and San Antonio, made that determination based on MSPmentor’s managed end point data. But we must point out: That data is limited in scope, since it doesn’t cover MSPs that didn’t participate in the MSPmentor 100 survey.

Tommy Wald, president and chief executive officer of RIATA, becomes CEO of White Glove. Carey Balzer, president of White Glove, retains that role in the combined company. Tony Williams, RIATA’s vice president and chief technology officer, will serve as executive vice president of operations.

Earlier this year, White Glove purchased Fintan Technologies, a San Antonio-based  company. In total, White Glove has purchased five companies in Central and South Texas. Balzer said the company will spend some time digesting its latest acquisition before deciding where to go next. “Over time, we plan to be a broader Texas play,” he said.

MSPmentor will take a closer look at the Texas managed services market while attending CompTIA Breakway (Aug. 9-12, San Antonio).
