Buffalo-based managed service provider (MSP) Globalquest Solutions this week announced the sale of its IT services division and renamed the resulting business Buffalo Computer Help.

Globalquest Solutions CEO Aaron Fox and Chief Technology Officer Mike Morlock bought the company’s IT services division from founder Martha Martin. And together, Fox and Morlock have launched the renamed MSP focused on small office, home office and carry-in computer support.

Full terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Fox told MSPmentor that the transaction involved “a full stock buyout by two long-term employees who have been running the day-to-day operations of the companies for several years.”

Fox said he believes the transaction ultimately could benefit both Globalquest Solutions and Buffalo Computer Help.

“The sale of Globalquest Solutions and Buffalo Computer Help should be seamless to our existing customers,” he said. “We will continue to provide high-quality IT services at a very affordable rate. This sale is expected to enable the new ownership to focus more on the company’s managed services offerings … This sale is expected to promote the growth of Globalquest Solutions and Buffalo Computer Help by 20 percent to 30 percent in the first year alone.”

Martin initiated the sale and will retire from the IT integration services industry, Fox said. However, she will continue to own and operate IT staffing solutions company Globalquest Staffing Solutions.

Buffalo Computer Help currently offers cloud consulting, managed services and remote monitoring support, among other IT services.

Globalquest Solutions, meanwhile, provides IT educational, implementation, planning and support tools to Buffalo businesses.
