Flexiant CEO George Knox says MSPs are in a position to snag cloud revenue and opportunity.

Flexiant on Wednesday said it has acquired the Tapp multi-cloud management technology and business from Besol for an undisclosed amount. As part of the the cash and stock deal, Flexiant will also acquire staff and customers.

Flexiant, a cloud management platform provider, said the purchase will assist it with enabling managed service providers (MSPs), telcos and other technology companies to manage workloads across various cloud vendors and geographies.

Flexiant will integrate the Tapp technology into its cloud management platform, Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator, in order to offer multi-tenant cloud solutions to MSPs.

Flexiant CEO George Knox said in a prepared statement that MSPs are in a position to snag cloud revenue and opportunity.

“With their unique customer first view of service delivery rather than technology first, MSPs have a deep understanding of their customers’ business priorities and critical SLAs,” he said. “Equally MSPs are expert at managing, on behalf of their customers, multiple, competing IT vendor relationships.”

The company said service providers can expect a new set of cloud services using Flexiant Cloud Orchestrator and Tapp in summer 2014.
