FinancialForce.com Provides Rebate Support for Resellers

Cloud ERP provider FinancialForce.com has announced the availability of the Rebate Revenue Management application for its FinancialForce Supply Chain Management solution.

According to the company, the new tool will give resellers the ability to manage the entire supply chain process from quote to fulfillment in a single closed loop, helping partners track and obtain rebates more easily without the need to develop complex spreadsheets.

Rebate Revenue Management also alerts resellers to rebates at the quote level and aggregates information into one location, according to the announcement. FinancialForce said the tool will give resellers more transparency into the full rebate process so they can develop more strategic procurement decisions.

Manufacturer rebates are an important part of many resellers’ overall revenue because they supplement small profit margins, according to FinancialForce. And because information is usually sent to resellers via email or traditional mail, rebates can be overlooked, which leads to lost revenue.

FinancialForce hopes the tool will help its resellers to keep better track of their rebates and maximize their return on investment.

“Distributors and resellers today are, at best, estimating revenue from rebates. It is a long-known issue in the channel as existing rebate management solutions only tackle the problem from the manufacturer’s perspective,” said Mike Flanagan, general manager of SCM applications at FinancialForce.com, in a statement. “By adding Rebate Revenue Management to FinancialForce SCM, we are allowing distributors and resellers to reclaim lost revenue by enabling real-time visibility of rebates for sales, procurement and the reconciliation process.”

Earlier this month, FinancialForce appointed Johnny Ola as its vice president of Global Alliances and Business Development, responsible for developing a global partner program and expanding FinancialForce’s partnerships with system integrators and ISVs.
