Distribution Watch: Tech Data, Jenne Inc., Arrow Electronics
Thanks for stopping by Distribution Watch, faithful readers! This week we’ve got the latest updates from Tech Data (TECD), Jenne, Inc., and Arrow Electronics (ARW).
Tech Data: Tech Data recently debuted a new portal designed to help solution providers access device configuration, application support, deployment services and other features for their mobile solutions.
The distributor said its portal will help drive partner profitability and help resellers develop new business opportunities, in addition to simplifying the sales cycle. Partners can also get authorized through carriers, pick rate plans and complete deal registrations via the portal.
"The portal will speed up the commission schedule and carrier response time, allowing solution providers to receive their credit memos within one to two business days—the quickest turnaround time in the IT channel,” said Tiffany Severance, director of Mobile Solutions & Retail at Tech Data, in a statement. “It offers a simplified, convenient tool that helps our customers better utilize the end-to-end mobility products and services offered through Tech Data."
Jenne Inc.: Jenne has been recognized by the Avaya Learning Partner’s Recognition Program with two awards for the U.S. region, including the awards for Highest Student Satisfaction and Highest Response Rate.
The awards, which measured Q2 2015 performance, recognize Jenne for attaining the highest level of satisfaction among students and for receiving the highest survey participation among students, respectively.
“We would like to thank our students for taking the time and making the effort to provide us with valuable feedback and for recognizing the diligence and hard work that encompasses the Jenne University training program,” said Jim Karaffa, director of training for Jenne Inc. “As Jenne University continues to grow, we pledge to deliver the same level of expertise and support that enables our students to succeed.”
Arrow Electronics: Arrow has teamed with Intrinsyc Technologies to provide the Intrinsyc Open-Q 410 System on Module to its channel partners through a franchise agreement.
The Open-Q 410 is Intrinsyc’s miniature embedded computing platform that allows users to product intelligent connected products such as robotics, cameras, wearables and medical devices, according to the announcement.
“The Open-Q 410 SOM provides an efficient path for production of compact and connected products,” said David West, vice president of Global Marketing and Engineering for Arrow’s Global Components business. “It’s a strong addition to Arrow’s portfolio.”
That’s all for this week. We’ll see you back here next time, but until then, keep on distributing.
