Happy first day of Spring, everyone! Let’s celebrate the start of (hopefully) warmer weather with the latest updates from Synnex (SNX), Tech Data (TECD) and Ingram Micro (IM).

Synnex: Synnex was recently named 2015 North America Distributor of the Year during the Aruba Networks (ARUN) Americas Partner Summit in Las Vegas. The distributor took home the award for its achievements in the United States and Canada in the areas of sales, expertise in delivering Aruba solutions and its commitment to customer service, according to the announcement.

Synnex has worked with Aruba since 2011 as part of its CONVERGESolv Secure Networking group. The distributor also offers installations and site surveys across North America in addition to a number of other services for Aruba partners.

"Our channel partners and distributors are a vital part of Aruba's success, and we are fortunate to work with some of the best in the business," said Jim Harold, vice president of Americas Channels for Aruba Networks, in a statement. "This year's award recipients represent the highest levels of wireless technology expertise and commitment to delivering industry-leading customer service, and we are thrilled to recognize them for their achievements."

Tech Data: Pablo Zurzolo has been appointed vice president of TDAgency, responsible for leading the strategic direction of the company’s marketing services agency for vendor partners and resellers. He will report to Brian Davis, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing and Purchasing, according to the announcement.

Prior to his appointment, Zurzolo served as chief marketing officer at ToDL.com, an Internet platform for designers and architects. He previously worked at Tech Data, from 1996 to 2004, and led the distributor’s Marketing Services organization for several years.

"We are excited to welcome Pablo to our team," said Davis. "Pablo and our award-winning TDAgency team will be focused on aligning our marketing strategies with those of our channel partners and creating market-leading e-commerce performance."

Ingram Micro: Ingram Micro was named 2014 Distributor Partner of the Year in the Americas region by Juniper Networks (JNPR) during this year’s IDEAS/Connected 2015 event.

The award was presented to Ingram’s Advanced Solutions organization as a reflection of the distributor’s expertise in Juniper networking and security solutions, according to the company.

"Juniper Networks operated in lock-step with Ingram Micro this past year and continues to align with us to make it a top priority to support our partners, not only with advanced solutions but with providing the industry's most effective resources and partner enablement tools," said Eric Kohl, executive director, Advanced Solutions, Ingram Micro U.S. "This outstanding award is a testimony to our successful and longstanding relationship."

Ingram also announced the 2015 Cloud Partnership award winners at its annual Cloud Summit event, which honored six channel partners for their performance as cloud service providers. Winners were determined based on their 2014 cloud services revenue as well as overall business growth, leadership skills and engagement with the distributor, according to the announcement.
