Distribution Watch: Synnex, Jenne, D&H Distributing

Happy Friday, the first in October, and welcome to Distribution Watch, our weekly collection of distribution-related news you need to know about. This week we’ve got news from Synnex (SNX), Jenne Inc. and D&H Distributing, so pay attention—there may be a quiz.

Synnex: Never mind the distributor’s annual National Conference happening this week in Greenville, S.C., Synnex has inked a deal with Preton, provider of printing cost reduction software, to provide the company’s PretonSaver software through Synnex’s PRINTSolv platform.

PretonSaver is an advanced print management software application that gathers and provides detailed print usage data for optimizing organizational printing activities. PretonSaver collects a robust set of user focused reporting data from all network and locally connected printers and includes extensive print rules with policy enforcement capabilities.

By delivering these key PretonSaver capabilities together with PRINTSolv, managed print services providers using PRINTSolv can provide their customers with a stronger and more complete view of the entire printing environment and be in the position to offer better solutions for optimizing printing activities, according to the company.

Jenne: The IP telephony, audio- and videoconferencing, unified communications, data networking and security and surveillance products distributor has signed a distribution agreement with Yealink, provider of VoIP phone and IP communications. Jenne will distribute the full line of Yealink products in the United States.

According to the company, Yealink’s IP phone series is equipped with the TI chipset to ensure a better quality and high-definition voice. It also embeds rich features including auto-provision, PoE, IPv6 and various value-added functions.

“Jenne is pleased to welcome Yealink to the line of telephony products we distribute,” said Vince Piccolomini, vice president of Business Development at Jenne. “Their award-winning products ensure that people are able to connect and communicate easily from their desktops, conference rooms, mobile devices and more. Their products offer resellers a great value proposition for their end user customers.”

D&H: The Harrisburg, Pa.-based distributor has been named Distributor of the Year by BenQ America, provider of DLP projectors, monitors, interactive displays and signage.

D&H was selected for this distinction for having helped BenQ significantly grow its market share in the SMB space, due both to D&H’s market-specific expertise and its wide base of resellers selling into this sector. Other criteria include positive partner engagement and overall ROI (return on investment), according to BenQ.

“In the IT distribution channel, D&H has stepped up in every facet of business, and our mutual success has taken on a truly collaborative approach,” said Doug Stoklosa, distribution account manager at BenQ America. “We continue to be impressed with the quality and capability of D&H’s personnel.”

And that’s Distribution Watch for this week. Check back next week to see what we’re training our eyes on. Until then, stay safe.
