Happy Thursday, folks. This week we’re featuring a heaping helping of the latest news from Synnex (SNX) as well as our friends at Ingram Micro (IM).
Synnex: Synnex partners can now sell the full suite of storage solutions from PROMISE Technology to customers in North America thanks to a distribution agreement announced this week.
PROMISE Technology’s portfolio includes storage solutions for the media, cloud, video surveillance and IT market segments, according to the company. The deal is expected to help Synnex offer a wider range of storage solutions to partners than ever before.
Synnex signed a similar distribution deal with Veracity, an IP video storage and display provider that will give North American partners access to that company’s entire portfolio as well. Veracity’s solution and product portfolio includes COLDSTORE, a network attached storage system for video surveillance systems, according to Security News Desk.
Earlier this month, Synnex also signed a new deal with PanTerra that gives the distributor and its Broadline Distribution network partners access to the company’s unified cloud services. PanTerra said the deal was necessary to meet an increasing demand for cloud-based solutions.
"The relationship comes at a time when interest and maturity in the market for cloud solutions from both customers and channel partners is at an all time high,” said Arthur Chang, CEO & president of PanTerra, in a statement. “We feel our unified cloud suite of services including CloudUC, SmartBox and SentraCloud is a natural progression for SYNNEX's Broadline distribution partners."
Ingram Micro: PernixData signed a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro’s Promark Technology division last week, giving partners in North America access to the company’s PernixData FVP and Architect software.
Promark said it will “help PernixData recruit and train storage and virtualization resellers across the region” as well as help expand brand awareness for its solutions, according to the announcement.
"PernixData's software is a welcome addition to our portfolio of products, providing demonstrated value to partners and customers looking to solve storage performance and management issues in a completely non-disruptive and scalable manner," said Dale Foster, President of Promark Technology. "We are excited to be working with PernixData to make FVP and Architect software accessible to our North America channel partners."
