Distribution Watch: Accu-Tech, Synnex, Tech Data
Hello there, and thanks for stopping by Distribution Watch. This week we’ve got exciting updates from Accu-Tech, Synnex (SNX) and Tech Data (TECD). Let’s get started.
Accu-Tech: Network infrastructure provider ProLabs announced it has partnered with the network cabling and connectivity solutions distributor. The partnership is expected to enable U.S. enterprise customers to access the ProLabs portfolio via Accu-Tech, with up to 70 percent savings compared to similar OEM branded products, according to the company.
“Accu-Tech’s relationships and experience with integrators and contractors in the network communication industry make this engagement an excellent fit,” said Andy Smith, director of Business Development at ProLabs, in a statement. “Our partnership with Accu-Tech will help expand our reach within the U.S. to meet the demands of the end-users for reliable and affordable network components.”
Synnex: The distributor has expanded its Dell client and enterprise offerings to include Dell server storage, networking, converged infrastructure, software and client products. Synnex has also added several value-added services for resellers, including go-to-market flexibility, increased customer lead times, deal registration opportunities and more in an effort to help VARs gain additional benefits from their sales.
"Dell shares our longstanding vision of helping customers realize the true potential of technology," said Peter Larocque, president of North America Distribution at Synnex. "Our distribution relationship with Dell brings new opportunities to our resellers already selling Dell and possibilities to resellers looking to add Dell products to their existing portfolio. By leveraging our robust portfolio of services as well as our solutions to complement Dell products, resellers will be well-equipped to successfully deliver Dell platform-based solutions to their customers."
Tech Data: Tech Data is now offering Cisco Systems’ (CSCO) entire portfolio of security solutions to partners in North and South America, including Cisco network security appliances and services from the company’s recent Sourcefire acquisition, as well as services through the company’s Cisco Solutions Group.
"Through Cisco's next-generation intrusion prevention systems and advanced malware protection, we are offering a comprehensive array of security solutions that provide an integrated threat defense for the entire attack continuum—before, during, and after an attack—so end users will have protection across the extended network," said Angie Beltz, vice president of Product Marketing for the Cisco Solutions Group at Tech Data.
Tech Data resellers can access the new Cisco solutions through the distributor’s Momentum portal. Sales enablement training will also be available to help partners get up to snuff on the new offerings.
Here we are again, at the end of another Distribution Watch. Parting can be such sweet sorrow, as a famous playwright once said, but we promise not to shed too many tears if you promise to join us back here next week for another pre-Thanksgiving dose of distributor news. Until next time, enjoy the weekend, and keep on distributing.
