The multinational information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider and part of the NTT Group, said its acquisition of  Valencia, Calif.-based Nexus will expand its operations in the United States by 40 percent and broaden its portfolio of solutions for customers in the country.

Dimension Data also said the acquisition will increase the company’s presence in the West, Southwest and Southeast regions of the United States

Nexus has 19 offices in California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Washington, Texas, Georgia, Florida and North Carolina.

Dimension Data CEO Brett Dawson said in a statement that acquiring “Nexus is a significant strategic step in enhancing the Group’s geographic coverage and depth of skills and capabilities to support our clients.”

“I am very excited about the opportunity for our clients to tap into Dimension Data’s solutions and services, particularly the opportunity for us to extend new cloud capabilities, IT outsourcing and additional managed services on a global basis,” Nexus CEO Deron Pearson said in a statement.

This is the second acquisition this year for Data Dimension. The company acquired NextiraOne, a communications services provider, in February for an undisclosed sum.
