Cherwell Software Marketing Vice President Jason Haggar says additional sales opportunities for channel partners will arise
Cherwell Software Marketing Vice President Jason Haggar says additional sales opportunities for channel partners will arise.

Cherwell Software said it has acquired Express Metrix, a Seattle, Washington-based IT and software asset management company. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Express Metrix is known for providing software recognition functionality to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners through its Express Software Manager and Apptria Technologies product lines. These partners include tech giants such as IBM and BMC Software.

Cherwell will begin integrating Express Software Manager into its Cherwell Service management product after the acquisition is complete. Express manager will be available as a standalone product.

The company said Express Metrix’s headquarters will be “maintained and expanded for planned rapid recruitment of technical and development expertise.”

“Due to Cherwell Software’s increased market share and expanded customer base, all channel partners will have more access to additional sales opportunities,” Cherwell Software Marketing Vice President Jason Haggar told MSPmentor.

Cherwell also plans to continue requiring “channel solutions expertise in IT asset management, software licensing management and adjacent markets worldwide,” he said.

Haggar said the company will continue to add “product technology areas over time as required as Cherwell continues to expand and grow.”

Cherwell has raised $25 million in financing to date. It last received funding from Insight Venture Partners in November 2012.
