BrightGauge has launched a new consulting service designed to help MSPs (managed service providers) get the most out of their PSA (professional services automation) and RMM (remote monitoring and management) data. The move comes two months after the company launched BrightGauge 3.0, the first iteration of the platform designed to give MSPs a sweeping look at trends across the customer base and their own businesses by removing silos between customers.

BrightGauge CEO Eric Dosal and President Brian Dosal are lending their years of MSP experience to the consulting effort.

Taking its business intelligence software for MSPs and their customers to the next level, BrightGauge this week launched a new consulting service designed to help MSPs get the most out of their PSA (professional services automation) and RMM (remote monitoring and management) data.

The move comes two months after the company launched BrightGauge 3.0, the first iteration of the platform designed to give MSPs a sweeping look at trends across the customer base and their own businesses by removing silos between customers.

BrightGauge Consulting complements the software by providing professional services to help MSPs get up and running quickly with customized reports. The company announced the launch in a blog post by President and Co-Founder Brian Dosal this week.

“Over the past few years we’ve delivered consulting services on an ad hoc basis, but after talking with our key customers, it was apparent that a formal set of services was needed to help our community maximize the value of their data with BrightGauge,” Dosal wrote.

The following are the services available from the consulting team:

  • Implementation Services.  BrightGauge will lead the setup effort, working with the MSP’s internal team. The company will also provide dedicated training and setup the first few reports and custom gauges.

  • JumpStarts. These provide clients with a quick jump start with custom metrics built within Gauge Builder and Reports Scheduled.  BrightGauge will take high level requirements and build metrics to drive value the MSP business.

  • Custom Fields Delivery. For MSPs with unique KPIs or unique User Defined Fields that are not within the standard BrightGauge datasets, BrightGauge can help build those fields with custom SQL queries or a custom API calls from cloud-based data.

Dosal points out that he and his brother and co-founderEric Dosal both owned a managed service provider business previously, so they know how it works and can help MSPs refine their requirements and define the scope of work.  The team also includes technicians experienced with Connectwise, Kaseya, and LabTech databases as well as the AutoTask, Connectwise, Kaseya, and GFI MAX APIs.

For those who need Business Process Consulting, BrightGauge can introduce MSPs to consulting partners who specialize in that area.

What’s next?

When I spoke to Eric Dosal in May, he told me that future plans for BrightGauge included real-time dashboards and perhaps a benchmarking service. No word on these yet, but BrightGauge is certainly blazing the way with its new consulting service, so stay tuned.
