After assessing damage from Hurricane Irma this week, Autotask officials decided to proceed with the MSP toolset vendor’s annual partner conference, complete with a full agenda and keynote remarks by former President Bill Clinton.

Autotask Community Live 2017 is set to get underway this weekend in storm-battered South Florida, and event organizers today assured attendees that things were quickly getting back to normal.

Following is the full text of an email update issued today about conditions at the event venue, The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Fla.:

Hurricane Irma has given our team some unexpected challenges, but we are excited to host you all in the coming days!

Our team is on the ground in South Florida and has more information on conditions, so we wanted to update our attendees as to what to expect as you travel to CommLive.

  • Nearby airports, taxis and Uber are fully functioning and available for transportation to/from the event.

  • The Diplomat is open. Guests arriving today and onward will be able to check-in to their guest rooms without issue. Please note that the restaurants are closed until Saturday. The snack shop, Canteen, in the lobby is open and the hotel lobby bar opens Friday. Autotask and the hotel concierge are providing nearby dining options upon arrival in the meantime.

  • The Diplomat incurred no damage that would impact our event. The hotel is still taking reservations at our secured rate of $225/night. If needed, please book through the Autotask group link.

  • Our full agenda remains unchanged including keynote remarks by President Clinton and presentations by our other featured speakers.

While the Diplomat Resort, nearby roads and beaches remain intact after the hurricane, we understand there is a significant impact to much of the South Florida community.

We are fortunate that our event can proceed as planned and support the local economy in the process.

Autotask is making a donation to the One America Appeal hurricane relief fund and will set up opportunities for our attendees to donate, should you wish to contribute.

We hope to share ways to give back while onsite and we look forward to seeing you.
