Aldridge, a company that offers cloud and IT solutions, yesterday completed its acquisition of Houston-based managed service provider (MSP) IS Support.

The company said IS Support customers now can leverage its managed services practice, which helps small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) “simplify IT operations, provide faster issue response and offer senior knowledge on a daily and ongoing basis.”

Aldridge also named IS Support CEO Steve Combs as its new vice president.

Combs commented on the announcement in a prepared statement:

“As our clients’ businesses have evolved and their IT needs have become more sophisticated, it became clear that we would need to find the right partner with broader, deeper skills than we could offer alone. With its superior technical expertise, emphasis on small and midsize businesses that are growing and multi-city capabilities in the Houston and Dallas areas, Aldridge is perfect.”

Full terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Aldridge said it plans to retain IS Support’s employees.

“IS Support is a good fit with strengths in managed services, cloud services and professional services, which are our main areas of business,” Aldridge President Patrick Wiley said. “Through the acquisition process, we have been impressed with the IS Support team’s skill sets, values and attitude. We are excited to offer Aldridge clients access to additional staff and skill sets so they can take greater advantage of best-fit technology solutions.”

Aldridge currently has more than 75 employees and serves more than 500 customers in the Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth markets.
