AppDirect Raises $140 Million to Power the Global Cloud Service Economy. AppDirect has secured $140 million in funding led by an investment fund advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, with participation from existing investors Foundry Group, iNovia Capital, Mithril Capital Management, StarVest Partners and Stingray Digital. The cloud service commerce company said it will use the new funding to invest in capabilities “that further the vision of making it easy for businesses to seamlessly manage multiple applications and services.”
Code42 Secures $85 Million Investment to Continue Expansion in Endpoint Data Protection, Security, Forensics and Analytics. Code42, an endpoint data protection software provider, has raised $85 million in a Series B funding round led by new investors JMI Equity and New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Existing investors Accel Partners and Split Rock Partners also participated in the funding round. Code42 CEO Joe Payne pointed out that the funding will allow his company to accelerate its efforts “to build analytics and actionable intelligence on top of the historical archive of end-user data.”
Talkdesk Secures $21M in Series A Funding to Continue Rapid Growth and Innovation. Cloud-based call center software provider Talkdesk has raised a total of $21 million in a Series A funding round led by Salesforce Ventures. Existing investors DFJ and Storm Ventures also participated in the funding round. Talkdesk noted that the funds will enable it to expand its engineering, product and sales teams.
NEA and Notion Capital back MOVE Guides. Talent management software company MOVE Guides has raised $15.6 million in a Series B funding round led by NEA and Notion Capital. Move Guides said it will use the Series B funding to expand its operations. In addition, Move Guides has named technology industry veteran Jim Drill as its first president.
Aquto Raises $8 Million in Series B Funding to Accelerate Global Footprint. Aquto has closed a Series B funding round led by Iris Capital, with participation from STC Ventures, Matrix Partners and North Bridge Venture Partners. The data monetization software provider noted that the funding will be used to extend its global reach.
