Datto Raises $75 Million in Series B Funding. Datto has secured $75 million in a Series B funding round led by Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV), bringing its total financing to over $100 million. The cloud-based backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solution provider said it will use the Series B funding to “continue to invest in its global expansion and to accelerate product innovation to support its thousands of partners worldwide.”
PlanGrid Raises $40M As It Continues to Modernize the Construction Industry. PlanGrid has added $40 million in a Series B funding round led by Tenaya Capital, with participation from Sequoia Capital, Founders Fund, YC Continuity and Northgate. Tracy Young, PlanGrid’s CEO, told TechCrunch the Series B funding will enable the company to add new features to its cloud-based construction app.
Umbrel Announces $20M Funding Round. Customer data platform provider Umbrel has raised $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Cielo Private Equity Funds. Umbrel noted that the funding will allow it to bolster its sales and marketing efforts.
Cloudpaging Leader Numecent Announces $15.5M Series B Investment. Cloud-based containerization and virtualization platform provider Numecent has added $15.5 million in a Series B funding round. Deutsche Telekom and other investors provided the funding. Numecent said the Series B funding brings its total financing to approximately $38 million.
MindTickle Secures $12.5M Series A Funding From NEA and Accel Partners. MindTickle has raised $12.5 million in a Series A funding round from NEA and Accel Partners. The sales readiness platform provider said the funding will enable it to explore new ways to improve the engagement and productivity of its direct and channel sales teams.
