Each week Talkin’ Cloud compiles a list of cloud computing financing stories for readers who might have missed the news earlier in the week. This week’s column features funding news from Axcient, ScienceLogic, Livefyre, RapidMiner and BookingPal.

Axcient Raises $25 Million to Fuel Corporate Growth. Recovery-as-a-service (RaaS) provider Axcient has raised $25 million. Industry Ventures led the investment, with participation from existing investors Allegis Capital, Peninsula Ventures, Scale Venture Partners and Thomvest Ventures. Axcient said it will use the funds to invest in sales and marketing and finance its new SaaS:FLO reseller compensation program.

Goldman Sachs Leads $43 Million Series D Investment in ScienceLogic. IT monitoring software provider ScienceLogic has secured $43 million in a Series D venture capital round led by Goldman Sachs. Existing investors Intel Capital and New Enterprise Associates (NEA) also participated in the funding round. ScienceLogic said it plans to use the Series D funds to expand its sales, marketing, product development and international market opportunities.

Livefyre Raises $47 Million in Funding, Including $32M Series D. Livefyre has added $47 million in funding from Adobe (ADBE), Cue Ball, Greycroft Partners, Hillsven Capital, Salesforce Ventures (CRM) and U.S. Venture Partners. The San Francisco-based content marketing and engagement platform provider noted that the new funds will be used to support the company’s research and development, sales and marketing expansion and growth in international markets.

Modern Analytics Leader RapidMiner Nabs $15 Million in Funding. RapidMiner, a Boston-based analytics platform provider, has received $15 million in Series B funds led by Ascent Venture Partners and Longworth Venture Partners. Additionally, Series A investors Earlybird Venture Capital and Open Ocean Capital participated in the most recent financing round. RapidMiner said it intends to use the Series B funds to add to its 60-person global team.

BookingPal Raises $5 Million in Series B Funding to Expand its Vacation Rental Global Distribution Platform. Cloud-based travel booking service BookingPal has closed a $5 million Series B financing round. Thayer Ventures led the Series B round, which also included participation from new investors PAR Capital Ventures and Amadeus Ventures and early investors Camp One Ventures and Plug and Play Ventures. Alex Aydin, BookingPal’s CEO, said the Series B capital will allow his company to enhance its platform and explore new strategic partnerships.
