PokItDok Healthcare API Platform Picks Up $34 Million in Series B. TechCrunch reported that cloud-based healthcare application programming interface (API) provider PokItDok has received $34 million in Series B funding. Lemhi Ventures led the funding round, which raised PokItDok’s total financing to $39 million. PokItDok said the funding will allow it to add business intelligence (BI), marketing and technical support, according to MedCity News.

VATBox.com Closes $24 Million Growth Round Led by Viola Private Equity. VATBox, a cloud-based value-added tax (VAT) recovery solutions provider, has secured $24 million in a financing round led by Viola Private Equity, with participation from existing private investors. The company noted that it will use the financing to expand its presence in new and existing markets.

Open Source Cloud and Middleware Company WSO2 Attracts $20 Million in Funding Led by Pacific Controls, Global Provider of Internet of Things Managed Solutions. WSO2 has closed a $20 million funding round led by Pacific Controls. Toba Capital also participated in the funding round. WSO2 provides open source cloud and middleware solutions, and the company said it will use the most recent funding to fuel its global expansion.

RIFT.io Raises $16 Million in Series A Funding to Deliver Open, Scalable Network Virtualization to Enterprises and Network Builders. RIFT.io has added $16 million in Series A funding. North Bridge Venture Partners led the funding round, with participation from other strategic investors. RIFT.io, which provides network virtualization software, said the funding will be used to continue the development of its open source network virtualization platform and bolster its product, design and engineering teams.

pCloud Raises $3 Million in a Series A Funding Round to Begin International Expansion. Cloud storage provider pCloud has raised $3 million of funding to expand its presence to new international markets. The company said it will use the funding to open offices in Western Europe, the United States and other markets and enter the enterprise sector.
