Layoffs were about all anyone could talk about in January. They impacted big-name vendors and their channel leaders in droves, dominating last month’s top stories countdown. Fortunately, the quantity of job-cut announcements started to fade in the second half of last month, but they were still a concern.

So you won’t see a top 20 stories countdown bereft of layoff news. But you will see plenty of other headlines that had people talking.
