ScanSource‘s efforts to get its hardware reseller audience to adopt the cloud-based agent model was the subject of much discussion late last year.
The annual Channel Connect event, traditionally a fixture of the Intelisys community, for the first time brought together partners from both the legacy Intelisys and ScanSource ecosystems. And both sides heard the case for them to adopt the other side’s sales portfolio. For the VAR side, that means selling more cloud communications to supplement falling on-prem hardware communication sales. For the agent/Intelisys side, that means embracing hardware in order to truly be a one-stop shop for customers.
