David Clark, a non-tech guy
1. After the 2016 presidential election, David Clark said he was alarmed by the reports of hackers around the world who allegedly meddled in the election. “For the first time, a non tech guy like me was like ‘wow, these hackers are really scary people.”
Clark said he then realized that law abiding developers must resent being painted as hackers. After researching and learning that there are over 24 million developers in the world, he thought: “What if we could create the equivalent of the Nobel Peace Prize for developers? So that was really the start of call for code.”
