Internet content security company Trend Micro has appointed Stephen Mungall as vice president of U.S. channel sales. Mungall has been tasked with maintaining and improving the companys all-channel marketing strategy for the enterprise and SMB, and will first focus on maximizing existing successful partnerships while hitting aggressive growth goals.

Mungall boasts more than 20 years of experience as a channel team leader and salesman. Previously, he held the post of vice president of channel sales at Lenovo, where he oversaw a number of strategic initiatives that helped make the company a global IT player. He also worked at IBM as the vice president of channel sales, leading an initiative to combine the companys internal and external channel groups into a cooperative teaming model that yielded significantly higher revenue growth.
