Tech Data Enhances Cloud Offers, Gives Partners New Microsoft Products
TECH DATA TechSelect Partner Conference — Tech Data on Wednesday introduced new services in its Cloud Solutions Store and announced availability of new Microsoft mobility products for solution providers at its TechSelect event in Boca Raton, Florida.
The distribution giant’s cloud news includes the addition of Aria, a hosted collaboration platform, to its channel of solution providers in the U.S. Aria says it combines the benefits of an on-premises Cisco system with a cloud-hosted model, not only offering businesses of all sizes hosted collaboration services but also providing a wide range of features that can be tailored to a customer’s needs. Aria services are now available in the Tech Data Cloud Solutions Store.
Also new to the Cloud Solutions Store is endpoint protection from Webroot, part of an expanded agreement between the two companies. Webroot offers corporate security services and software for network security, data management and compliance.
In addition, Tech Data said on Wednesday that its partners can get their hands on the brand-new Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet and Surface Book. The latter has a 13.5-inch display, a backlit keyboard a removable screen that can be used as a tablet. Tech Data has a dedicated Microsoft Surface team that provides customized marketing programs and integrated A/V services for authorized Surface resellers.
The distributor also is showing off its new company logo, designed to illustrate its growing range of products and services. The brand refresh includes a new corporate landing page that Tech Data says is easier to navigate and offers quick links to its online shopping experience via shop.techdata.com. The storefront now includes a more robust search engine; a special pricing agreement tracker available only to Tech Data resellers; better tracking capabilities via the Track Open Orders plug; live chat; and more. The overall goal is to develop and refine the support the company offers solution providers, helping them win business and continue to grow, Tech Data said.
Approximately 400 people from throughout North America are attending Tech Data’s fall event.
