FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) certification involves security assessment and authorization by federal organizations to allow them to confidently use cloud services such as RapidScale’s managed cloud. The certification signifies that the infrastructure has passed the federal risk management process defining standard security requirements for all cloud providers.

According to FedRAMP, the certification is a “government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services.” A Third Party Assessment Organization performed the initial assessment and will continue with periodic assessments of the systems, ensuring they meet FedRAMP requirements and enhancing security visibility.{ad}
