Security-as-a-service provider Proofpoint has launched Proofpoint Security and Compliance Suite for Office 365, which was designed to provide customers with advanced threat protection, global regulatory compliance and comprehensive ediscovery features for organizations migrating to the popular cloud-based office productivity suite.

According to the company, enterprises are facing more risk every day as attackers launch ever more sophisticated attacks, and the new Office 365 cloud security service is intended to help protect customers in three key areas:

“Advanced phishing attacks and continued data loss have made email the number one threat vector and compliance concern facing most enterprises,” said David Knight, executive vice president and general manager for Information Security Products at Proofpoint, in a prepared statement. “The new Proofpoint Security and Compliance Suite for Microsoft Office 365 provides the additional layer of advanced threat protection and compliance functionality that enterprises running on Office 365 need to stop phishing attacks and comply with global regulations. This enables organizations of all sizes to take full advantage of the benefits of Office 365 without sacrificing security or compliance.”

At the same time, Proofpoint expanded its Proofpoint Affiliate Program for Microsoft Partners with the new Office 365 security solution in mind.
