Lastline Signs Distribution Agreement with Synnex
Security vendor Lastline has signed a distribution agreement with Synnex to offer its portfolio of advanced threat products in North America. This is Lastline’s first distribution partnership in North America.
Lastline, founded in 2011, has a cybersecurity portfolio that includes AI-powered network traffic analysis and proven malicious behavior analysis to detect attacks attempting to enter and operate within a network.
“The rise of cloud networking and the addition of IoT devices as well as the increasing complexity of IT infrastructure is driving increased demand for security,” said Reyna Thompson, senior vice president, product management, North America, at Synnex Corp. “Lastline’s Network Traffic Analysis capabilities represent a significant addition to our expanded security portfolio, as we are seeing strong demand for this technology throughout our customer base.”
The Lastline portfolio includes Lastline Defender, Lastline Analyst and Lastline Detonator.
Lastline Defender offers AI-powered network security for cloud and hybrid environments. There’s also Lastline Defender for email and threats hiding in both cloud or customer-managed email. The product also protects the network from bad actors targeting IoT devices as well as malicious behavior from compromised devices, according to the company.
Lastline Analyst provides analytical tools for comprehensive malware investigations and may be used by the Security Operations Center (SOC), Incident Response (IR) or forensic teams. Lastline Detonator allows security teams to integrate the vendor’s malware detection and data analysis features into their security products.
“We’re honored Synnex has selected Lastline to augment their cybersecurity software portfolio,” said Steve Sharbach, vice president, global channel partnerships at Lastline. “As we continue to accelerate channel growth across the globe, Synnex provides us with immediate access to their large and sophisticated reseller network.”
The lion’s share of Lastline revenue is partner driven, according to Sharbach, who notes that the company has about 60 channel partners,of whom about 11 who are core authorized partners. The company wants to grow its partner community and hopes to do that in partnership with Synnex. “We hope to grow our partner base by 200 percent by the end of the year,” Sharbach told Channel Futures.
The vendor has a traditional partner program in place and is looking for channel partners who focus on cybersecurity and understand the value Lastline advanced threat protection products add to a security solution that may include other security components such as firewalls, identity management, SEIM and so on.
“We work seamlessly with these vendors,” said Sharbach.
