Ground Labs, a provider of sensitive data discovery tools, has appointed Jason Stein, previously with Kaspersky, as head of North American channel and partnerships.

Stein joins Ground Labs’ leadership team to enhance the company’s partner program and continue accelerating North American growth. Ground Labs recently announced its North American headquarters in Austin, Texas, growing the company’s presence within a key market where Stein will support the region’s channel and partner program.

Ground Labs allows organizations to find, secure and remediate all of their sensitive data across multiple types and locations — whether it’s stored on premises or in the cloud.

“Every organization, regardless of size or sector, houses sensitive data — but a first step to managing this information is realizing where it lies,” Stein said. “I’m thrilled to join Ground Labs as its mission is one that resonates with every business, which presents an immense opportunity for our partners. Looking ahead, Ground Labs will evolve into a channel-committed, channel-driven company, working together with partners to help organizations in the region discover and identify their most sensitive data.”

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in July.

Stein most recently served as Kaspersky‘s head of channel for North America. He also served as vice president of channel for Tier 4 Advisors, a procurement partner for data centers, and Effortless, a provider of outsourced IT services.

Stein was recognized as a Channel Futures 2018 Circle of Excellence award winner.

“We’re excited to bring Jason on to drive the continued expansion of our channel program in North America, adding to our momentum in the region and helping to generate sales across our partner community,” said Don Kaye, Ground Labs’ chief revenue officer. “With his strong experience in building channel programs for enterprise security software companies, Jason is the ideal leader to take our partner program to the next level and best serve our rapidly growing customer base.”
