Distributor D&H is now an AVG channel partner. AVG develops of business, mobile and PC device security software applications.

As an AVG distributor, D&H will provide the vendor’s entire business product portfolio that includes the AVG Managed Workplace, AVG Cloud Care, AVG Internet Security and AVG AntiVirus Business Edition solutions.

“We share many synergies with AVG and are excited about the momentum the company is driving through new initiatives focused on channel value. We are committed to providing a robust security offering, and the AVG Business product line offers us tremendous opportunity to execute on this vision for our VAR and MSP community,“ said Jeff Davis, senior vice president of sales at D&H.

AVG has been on a mission this year to strengthen its channel and increasingly leverage its partner network. So, the company has expanded its distribution footprint worldwide, adding CMS Distribution for coverage in the U.K. and Ireland, ADN Distribution for coverage in Central Europe, Infinigate, a value-added distributor in Europe, and ASBIS, an existing AVG distributor which expanded its footprint in EMEA in May.{ad}

For expanded coverage in North America and Canada, AVG added distributor EarthBend a couple of months ago. North American distributors Ingram Micro and Lifeboat are also part of the AVG channel ecosystem.

The vendor’s distribution strategy is to provide partners with specialized, geographical coverage to ease the way for partners to do business with AVG. Distributors are positioned to provide partner services such as logistics, pre-sales, finance and technical support, according to the company.

Last month, Avast Software, a security software vendor, announced its intentions to acquire AVG Technologies N.V. for about $1.3 billion.
