Dell’s Enterprise Mobility Services are a portfolio of enterprise-level asset-based solutions that cover hardware, software, communication technologies, data center, infrastructure, storage and multiple operating systems. Essentially, Dell has created an all-encompassing offering, in an effort to future-proof itself and provide support for a variety of devices and systems.
Dell has broken down its offerings into “strategic pain points” that enterprises tend to encounter. Here are the abbreviated details:
Strategic Consulting – Services to establish an enterprise mobile strategy
Mobile Device Management – Mobile lifecycle management, including provisioning, compliance, policy enforcement, monitoring and usage
Telecom Expense Management – Best-practice approach to management of voice, data, wireless, international roaming and VoIP spend
Custom Application Development – Rapid-application development for emerging mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets
Mobile Enterprise Application Platform – Allows companies to design, build and deploy apps based on the Dell Mobility Application Platform (DMAP) to mobilize business applications
Security & Compliance – Secure mobile enterprise solutions for customers on both personal and corporate devices
Dell’s Enterprise Mobility Services will go live first in North America and the United Kingdom, followed then by an expansion into the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.
