Dany Bouchedid, Colotraq‘s founder and CEO, tells Channel Partners his company will continue to operate business as usual, “but we will have access to far more resources than ever before which will really help us scale and expand quickly to meet the challenges of better serving our channel partners.

“This will certainly create new opportunities for them as we will be able to invest further in supporting them both from the addition of local channel managers and joint co-op marketing initiatives,” he said.

The acquisition will give Colotraq and its partners a competitive advantage as they will have access to the public capital markets to be able to expand quickly and “invest in our industry-leading sales enablement platform,” DCITraq, Bouchedid said.

“This will empower our channel partners to better react to the growing challenges their clients face in the data center infrastructure space,” he said.

DCITraq, Colotraq’s cloud-based software, allows clients, or their representatives, to source cloud, colocation and connectivity, and cybersecurity services through Colotraq’s direct agreements with more than 400 vendors globally.

“This acquisition is truly transformative for Colotraq as it provides us with the ability to physically expand into new markets, hire top people from within the industry, make further investments in our software … and continue to grow through strategic acquisitions of some key channel partners within the industry,” Bouchedid said.

Teresa McWilliams, Aluf’s interim president and CEO, said Colotraq’s market position and technological strength will make this acquisition “significant to our long-term growth strategy with a particular focus on IT Infrastructure, data center and cloud services.”

“Colotraq has a 20-year proven track record of providing high performance solutions and support services to multinational corporate enterprises and government agencies,” she said. “We believe that the completion of this acquisition will be beneficial both for Aluf and (Colotraq) and for their employees, customers, and shareholders.”
