Darktrace partners have a new global channel leader. Dan Monahan is now senior vice president of the company’s global partner organization.

Darktrace’s Dan Monahan

Monahan will assume responsibility for Darktrace’s global partner organization, including channel sales, technology alliance and strategic partners. He’ll be responsible for evolving the partner program, as well as driving growth with new partners and deepening relationships with existing partners.

Monahan joins Darktrace from Cohesity, where he oversaw all aspects of the channel program in North America. He has more than 25 years of experience at technology companies including VMware, where he led strategy for the company’s largest national solution providers and distributors.

Here’s our list of channel people on the move in April.

“I am looking forward to meeting every member of the global partner organization face-to-face, and speaking with as many partners as possible,” he said. “The team and I will be on a mission to understand what their individual go-to-market (GTM) strategies are so we can help them achieve success with Darktrace and our solutions.”

Darktrace Partners Excited OVer AI-Powered Cybersecurity

There is “incredible excitement” among Darktrace partners for the company’s artificial intelligence (AI)-powered cybersecurity solutions, Monahan said.

“AI is the hot topic at every conference, yet partners and customers are still searching for an executable plan,” he said. “I’m excited by the opportunity ahead to work alongside our partners to help businesses harness the power of AI in cybersecurity.”

Darktrace‘s partner ecosystem consists of more than 500 channel partners worldwide, including VARs, GSIs, MSSPs and distributors.

The company also has a wide array of technology alliances, such as integrations with IBM Security QRadar, and more that enable mutual customers to harness the value of Darktrace alongside these other technologies. Darktrace is an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency Partner and a Microsoft ISV Partner.

“I am not the ‘typical’ channel chief in that my previous roles have not been channel exclusive,” Monahan said. “I am very proud to have led core sales teams at multiple Fortune 500 organizations, while also being entrusted to run partner and distribution portions of the business. This has provided me with a very unique point of view when decisions need to be made and programs need to be evolved. I see opportunities not only through the eyes of the partner, but also the partner salesperson, the OEM salesperson, and both executive teams. I am constantly striving for win/win and growth/growth.”

“Our global partners play a critical role in our mission to free the world of cyber disruption, and together we can bring our customers cutting-edge solutions that use Darktrace’s self-learning AI to help them prevent, detect, respond and heal from cyberattacks,” said Denise Walter, Darktrace’s chief revenue officer. “Dan will be instrumental in evolving our partner program and model to help drive long-term, sustainable growth.”
