CloudPassage Updates Halo Security Platform

CloudPassage announced on Tuesday new capabilities in its Halo security platform, including an improved user interface to help security teams quickly identify actionable security information.

Other updates to the Halo security platform include enterprise-wide data aggregation, allowing a security professional to drill down from an enterprise-level view to specific individual servers, which CloudPassage said makes understanding and managing risks much more manageable at scale.

“As enterprises scale their investments in modern infrastructure, they need a security platform that can grow with them,” Amrit Williams, CTO at CloudPassage said in a statement. “The addition of these new capabilities means our customers can streamline their security operations, provide better protection against advanced cyber threats and respond faster when a threat is detected.”

Recently, CloudPassage released a study that found the lack of visibility into security vulnerabilities in the cloud is a top concern for IT professionals.

With CloudPassage’s revamped security platform, network security professionals can gain a better understanding of the connection maps for server communication and gain insight into traffic patterns across environments.

CloudPassage said that its new log-based intrusion detection system (LIDS) enables security teams to monitor and receive alerts in any server log file and can be integrated with any SIEM system.
