Cloud security compliance (CSC) company Cloud Raxak today has launched Cloud Raxak Protect, a cloud-based service that enables users to “secure and ensure compliance of their compute infrastructures, starting with their environment provisioning process and through the lifecycle, for both public and private clouds.”

Cloud Raxak Protect provides hybrid cloud service management for businesses, according to Cloud Raxak. It leverages the Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) Cloud Service Automation (CSA) solution, Cloud Raxak said, to help companies reduce their hybrid cloud service management costs and simplify audits.

“Service management is the key to integrating security compliance with IT operations in a consistent fashion across on-premise and off-premise clouds,” a Cloud Raxak spokesperson told Talkin’ Cloud. “By integrating with the HP service management suite, we enable our clients to develop, test and run their compliant workloads both on an on-premise cloud and public clouds.”

In addition, Cloud Raxak said Cloud Raxak Protect offers:

  • Audit-ready reporting.

  • Automation across both public and private clouds.

  • Fast and cost-effective deployment of cloud applications.

  • Security templates that enable users to deploy compliance profiles across virtual machines (VMs) in public and private clouds.

Prasanna Mulgaonkar, Cloud Raxak’s CEO, also pointed out that Cloud Raxak Protect “makes the application of a security profile to a VM as simple as spinning up the VM in a cloud.”

Cloud Raxak Protect supports all public clouds, Cloud Raxak said. It currently offers users the ability to provision on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloud Raxak noted, and soon will expand to include private and public clouds such as OpenStack, VMware (VMW) and Microsoft (MSFT) Hyper-V.
