AT&T announced Tuesday that cloud software and service providers that work on the AWS platform can join the NetBond for Cloud solution provider program. This new connection comes with the newly announced AWS Direct Connect Bundle.

NetBond allows partners and their customers to connect their applications securely to the cloud in a flexible way, the carrier said.

“We are seeing more and more business customers shifting to use SaaS applications in the cloud — in fact, IDC expects the worldwide SaaS market to reach $123 billion in 2020,” said Mo Katibeh, AT&T’s senior vice president of advanced solutions. “With NetBond for Cloud, users can bypass the public internet to connect to cloud solutions through a highly secure connection to a growing number of SaaS providers via AWS Direct Connect.”

AT&T says NetBond will give AWS partners a new tool with which to attract new customers. Terry Wise, AWS’ vice president of channels and alliances, says AWS and AT&T are working together to increase the ability for customers and their solution providers to manage deployments.

“For many businesses, managing complex network deployments and security risks is a key priority when migrating information to the cloud,” Wise said. “The capabilities we are working to provide with AT&T help address those issues by providing additional flexibility and control over an even greater number of AWS cloud services.”
