Verio Relaunches viaVerio Partner Program

Verio has relaunched its new viaVerio channel partner program and new partner Web site, www.viaverio.com. A company spokesperson noted that these enhancements are a first step in moving Verio’s model from that of a retailer to a reseller. The company hopes to drive 90 percent of revenue from the viaVerio program by the end of 2009, compared to only 25 percent coming from the program now.

Designed to further strengthen the support available to Verio partners, the viaVerio program offers an enhanced Web portal, revamped commission structure, more comprehensive program benefits, updated sales resources and advanced educational courses.

The new partner portal will deliver resources and sales tools, and will serve as a forum for partners to network with one another regarding Verio’s solutions and more. Partner portal resources include a partner-to-partner directory, a partner engagement forum, a new partner blog, and a partner innovation channel, which is a microsite for gathering and sharing feedback on Verio products and programs. Partners are able to vote on suggestions from other partners regarding product development and possible enhancements.

The ViaVerio program will continue to focus on strong account management support as well as training and technical assistance. For example, Verio’s Sales Engineer competencies will be available directly as an extension of each partner’s internal sales team to deliver product knowledge and technical expertise during the sales process. Verio also will be launching a Webinar-based Partner Education Series to provide corporate level education on topics related to hosting, and practical advice on driving revenue growth.
