VeloCloud has unveiled its new SD-WAN service that includes a Voice Quality Monitoring (VQM) capability.

The new VoIP performance management software supports an array of codec technologies, and provides listening and conversational call quality metrics in both R-Factor and MOS (mean opinion score) formats, as well as detailed diagnostic information, giving network managers both high-level metrics and the ability to drill down to identify specific problems, according to the company, the company said.

Steve Woo, VeloCloud’s vice president of products and co-founder, tells Channel Partners that UC service providers will be better equipped to ensure UC quality, deliver “great customer experience” and meet service-level agreements. Also, partners can offer the detailed voice monitoring as an additional service for a fee without needing to install separate devices, he said.

“Partners delivering and supporting IP telephony to enterprises can more quickly and proactively identify, isolate and resolve problems,” he said. “This reduces partners’ support costs and increases customer satisfaction for existing customers. Partners can offer higher levels of managed services, and ensure more successful IP telephony pilots to drive greater deployments. This combination of VeloCloud monitoring capabilities as well as SD-WAN multi-link optimization enables the deployment of UC services over more diverse networks as well. All of this can now be done without having to install separate appliances for monitoring.”{ad}

VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN helps enterprises securely support application growth, network agility, and simplified branch and endpoint implementations while delivering optimized access to cloud services, private data centers and enterprise applications, the company said.

Both enterprises and service providers benefit from the multi-tenant cloud gateway architecture and the ability to support real-time applications over private, broadband and wireless links continuing to demonstrate that the cloud is the network, it said.

VeloCloud VQM is available immediately to the more than 300 existing VeloCloud customers and service providers globally.
