Level 3 Lands Major GSA Contract

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded Level 3 Communications a multiple-year competitive contract known as GSA Region 4 Integrated Telecommunications Services (GRITS) II.

The contract allows Level 3 to bid on and provide communications services to all federal agencies and organizations authorized to use GSA sources of supply and services in the region. The fixed price with economic price adjustment (EPA) contract has a total estimated potential value of up to approximately $285 million, which includes the four-year base term with six additional option years.

Level 3 was named as a provider in all of four available categories voice, data, converged services and other wired telecom services allowing it to bid on business issued by all federal government agencies and organizations within the Southeast Sunbelt Region. The company is authorized to bid on and provide virtual private network (VPN services, private line services, wavelength services, managed services, dark fiber, network services, Internet services, colocation services and content delivery network (CDN) services.

GSA supports more than 2,000 Civilian, Defense and Intelligence federal agencies in GSA Region 4’s Southeast Sunbelt Region which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

In addition to GRITS II, Level 3 provides a wide variety of services through numerous government contract vehicles, including Networx Enterprise, WITS 3, GSA Schedule 70, DITCO Basic Agreement and other GSA Regional Contracts.
