Managed services provider Cbeyond Inc. this week introduced its BeyondMobile Laptop Access service for businesses, available for distribution through the companys channel partners.

BeyondMobile gives users nationwide mobile broadband access. It comes with a Sierra Wireless AirCard 595 PC Card and takes advantage of a 3G EV-DO Rev A mobile network, eliminating the need for Wi-Fi hotspots. The AirCard 595 enables high-speed connectivity, while minimizing battery power consumption.

The service offers peak data transfer speeds of up to 3.1mbps on the downlink and up to 1.8mbps on the uplink.
