AireSpring, the cloud communications and managed connectivity provider, has appointed Donald McMahon, previously with XO Communications and Birch Communications, to its channel sales team as channel manager for Texas and the Southwest region.
McMahon brings to the company a history of channel sales and team-building. Most recently, he was a channel manager at Alpheus Communications where he supported the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
His previous experience includes sales management positions with key telecom companies including XO (a Verizon company) and Birch, which sold its cloud and business-services business, including its customers, operations and infrastructure, to Fusion.
“Donald comes to us with very deep experience in the telecom industry and especially strong relationships in the Texas and Southwestern markets,” said Ron McNab, AireSpring’s senior vice president of channel sales. “We need just his type of seasoned, committed channel manager on the ground to facilitate the AireSpring white glove concierge service and support that our partners enjoy and expect from us.”
Working from his location in Dallas, McMahon is “strategically positioned to identify and welcome in new partners in a fast-growing market where AireSpring is set to expand service and coverage,” according to the company. His brand of “relationship-building expertise and telecom knowledge will be a perfect complement” to AireSpring’s 100 percent channel-focused strategy and increasingly important presence in this region, it said.
