MSPs Beating Their Own Expectations for January?

MSPs Beating Their Own Expectations for January?

Managed services and MSP optimismDespite the pathetic economy, the vast majority of managed service providers say their businesses are performing as well as or better than they originally expected for January, according to MSPmentor's reader poll for the week ended Jan. 23.

According to 87 survey participants, their businesses so far in 2009 are:

  • performing as expected (63%)
  • off to a better start than expected (28%)
  • off to a worse start than expected (9%)
Of course, there are several ways to interpret the information. For starters, MSPs may have been heading into January with super-low expectations amid the recession. In other words, they may have set their January bars very low.

Also, our readers tend to be eternal optimists who like to tout their success. No joke. Since launching weekly reader polls late last year, most participants have chosen optimistic and upbeat answers rather than negative ones.
