Kaspersky Lab Hints MSP Partner Program Coming

For the second time in recent weeks, Kaspersky Lab executives are hinting that the endpoint security company is looking to work more closely with managed services providers. Here are the details.

At the Kaspersky Lab Americas Partner Conference in the Dominican Republic today, Senior VP Nancy Reynolds told channel partners she sees emerging opportunities that involve "recurring revenue and annuity revenue streams." Reynolds, a veteran of Dell and Trend Micro, hinted a month ago that Kaspersky Lab was evaluating a managed services partner program strategy.

Kaspersky isn't alone. Most of the major security software providers have SaaS and MSP strategies in place. And growing upstarts like Sophos are also preparing MSP-centric moves.

I'm meeting Reynolds on February 13, and I will ask for more details about Kaspersky Lab's recurring revenue strategy for VARs and MSPs.
