It’s not quite Roger Waters or David Gilmour, but if you’re interested in Pink Floyd and need to briefly escape from the high-tech market, take a journey to The Dark Side of the Moon with The VAR Guy. Here’s how.

Sure, The VAR Guy will spend May 1 at the SMB Nation summit in New Jersey. But once the sun begins to set, our resident blogger will head into Manhattan to see The Machine — one of the best Pink Floyd cover bands on the planet.

The VAR Guy has seen Roger, David and the real Pink Floyd (minus Syd) half-a-dozen times. But when he can’t see the “real” thing — Roger or David touring solo — our resident blogger gets his annual Floyd fix by hanging out with The Machine.

And during a May 1 concert in Manhattan, The Machine will be backed by a 100-piece orchestra — playing Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety.

For those who can’t make it: Wish you were here.

For those who can attend: Welcome my friends. Welcome to the machine.

The VAR Guy is updated multiple times daily. Don’t miss a single post. Subscribe to his newsletter, RSS feed, Twitter feed , Webcasts and Resource Center.
