ClipTraining Pitches Free E-Learning to IAMCP Members at New York Mets Game

Americas chapter president Eddie Bader joined Microsoft partners at Justin Verlander’s Citi Field debut.

While Justin Verlander was booed off the pitcher’s mound at New York’s Citi Field in his New York Mets home debut, Microsoft partners were cheering an attractive offer from e-learning content provider ClipTraining.

MSPs, systems integrators and resellers who are members of the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP) can now get free access to ClipTraining’s library of more than 5,000 training videos for one year.

ClipTraining, which produces and provides e-learning training content primarily for Microsoft 365 applications and tools, announced the promotional offer to more than 40 partners attending the IAMCP New York chapter’s monthly meeting on Tuesday at Citi Field.

The meeting was held in a conference room at the Flushing, New York, stadium before attendees convened to a suite to watch the home team New York Mets take on the Tampa Bay Rays. The game marked the home debut for Verlander, the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner signed by the Mets last December in a two-year deal worth $86 million.

Also making his debut was IAMCP Americas president Eddie Bader, who is director of projects, process management and strategic alliances at 6th Street Consulting in Redondo Beach, California. While Bader has been president of the IAMCP’s Americas chapter since 2020, he took over during the outset of the pandemic.

Bader, making the rounds throughout the Northeast this week, met many members for the first time, including New York chapter president Peter Fidler, CEO of WCA Technologies. Fidler kicked off the meeting by introducing Bader.

“I have wanted to come out here for a long time, and I’m super glad to be here,” Bader said.

ClipTraining’s Offer at New York Mets Game

ClipTraining worked with Bader to extend the offer to IAMCP members. The offer is for up to 10 employees of each partner organization for up to one year. ClipTraining’s learning content includes how-to videos for end users for various Microsoft 365 components ranging from Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It also includes M365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, Power Apps and cyber security awareness training.

Various Microsoft MVPs, including co-founder J. Peter Bruzzese, create and present the content. The content is delivered through the Microsoft Teams client. Besides free usage for partners, ClipTraining is making its offering available to partners’ clients for $500, a 50% discount.

Tim Duggan, ClipTraining’s other co-founder and CEO, told attendees that its offering is more affordable and better-suited to smaller businesses than offerings such as Udemy and LinkedIn Learning.

“Many of these solutions are pretty costly,” Duggan said. “Small businesses generally are not making that sort of investment for all their users.”

All ClipTraining subscriptions sell through the channel, and over 90% of its partners are MSPs.

“Our full focus is around MSP enablement,” Duggan said. “Partners can provide the content as part of their MSP offering.”

Fidler said the videos help resolve helpdesk inquiries.

“You can just take a video clip and a link to somebody with an issue or question,” he said.

While ClipTraining stands to benefit from the promotional coattails of its offer, Fidler and Bader said that many partners could use the content to become more familiar with the various M365 features.

“It really is a very generous offer; they’re giving access to all IAMCP members,” Fidler said.

Bader encouraged partners to take advantage of the offer.

“Use the free version,” he said, “or sign up for the discounted fees, and figure out how to harness this.”
