ConnectWise Implements Pay Now Invoice Feature

Paperless solutions for invoices are on the rise in the technology business industry, and ConnectWise has developed a new feature to assist MSPs with the growing trend. The business management software provider released its Pay Now feature, which aims to make it easier for partners and clients to view and pay invoices online.

Through a customer portal, partners and clients can pay invoices online, as well as access all new and old invoices. Partners can use this feature in their own customer portals for payments from clients. ConnectWise claims that this feature provides businesses with easier and more efficient billing operations. A step-by-step guide to paying invoices in the portal with the the company’s new feature can be accessed by partners.

ConnectWise is striving to automate as many financial processes as possible for MSPs. The strategy extends to sister companies LabTech Software (remote monitoring and management) and Quosal (quoting and sales proposal software). The long-term vision goes something like this:

  • LabTech discovers and monitors systems and applications that may require maintenance or upgrades.

  • Quosal helps IT service providers to generate sales quotes and proposals for those upgrades, and win the deal.

  • ConnectWise helps those IT service providers to track the resources you need to implement the solution, then invoice for the solution, etc.

It’s a pretty compelling strategy assuming everything works as advertised. Plus, ConnectWise has been working to maintain open APIs and open integrations with rival RMM and quoting software platforms.
