Citrix (CTXS) is holding its Synergy 2014 conference next week in Los Angeles, Calif. at the Anaheim Convention Center to promote its vision for enterprise mobility management (EMM), a close-knit market that’s seen a lot of activity in the past six months.

The agenda this year is geared toward providing targeted business and technical content and training focused on several areas, including virtualization, mobility, networking and cloud solutions.

To find out what the channel can expect from the multinational software vendor next week, MSPmentor reached out Citrix Channels and Field Marketing Vice President Mike Fouts.

CJ: What can channel partners expect to hear from Citrix at Synergy 2014?

MF: Citrix channel partners can expect to hear the current vision, strategy and latest updates that we will share with customers. We’ll also have current product and solution demonstrations, as well as sneak previews into what we’re developing and actively working on for the next 12 months.

CJ: What are several themes channel partners should pay close attention to at the conference?

MF: I would expect partners to come away from Synergy with better insight into trends we believe are important in the marketplace, including cloud strategy, mobility and our joint partnerships with Cisco and Google.

CJ: What can channel partners expect from Citrix on the EMM front?

MF: Partners can expect to hear about the continued evolution of EMM, that EMM is an increasingly large and relevant market for customers, and see the most recent advancements in EMM and the Worx product line.

CJ: What are some common EMM struggles that MSPs are facing in today’s market?

MF: We see channel partners struggle with the evolution from MDM-only to a true EMM solution. EMM encompasses multiple technologies in addition to MDM, thus requiring a broader skill set and further insight into customer challenges.

CJ: Why should channel partners attend Citrix Synergy 2014?

MF: Citrix Synergy is the premier enterprise mobility conference for customers seeking solutions that empower new ways to work. Additionally, Synergy is the exclusive place for customers to hear and see the current Citrix strategy and direction.
