Cisco Partner Summit 2012: Here We Go

SanDiego

And we’re off: Today is Day One of the Cisco Partner Summit 2012, Cisco System’s (NASDAQ: CSCO) annual confab of worldwide partners and arguably one of the largest partner events in the IT industry. This year’s event is being held in San Diego, where the sun is shining and the air is warm. I’d almost think I was on vacation if it weren’t for the jam-packed schedule I’ll be following for the next two and a half days.

Today’s festivities kick off at 9 a.m. Pacific with the keynote address during the Global General Session, followed by a few news updates and group Q&As with senior Cisco executives including CEO John Chambers, Keith Goodwin, Edison Peres, Rob Lloyd and Gary Moore. It’s an action-packed agenda, to be sure, and this intrepid blogger has her typing fingers at the ready.

Along the way, hopefully I’ll get some of my questions answered and we’ll discover what’s happening with Cisco’s Cius strategy as well as the latest with the Value Incentive Program.

Stay tuned to The VAR Guy for news and updates throughout the week. I’ll also be tweeting periodically, so please join me on Twitter at Charlene_OHanlon.
