AT&T Focuses on Apple iPads for Business Use

With so many businesses scooping up Apple iPads for use at work, it’s surprising that Apple hasn’t pushed their channel more. But AT&T is coming in where Apple left off, with the announcement that they’ll be selling all three configurations of the iPad WiFi + 3G to their business customers. Read on for more details about the iPad push…

The press release details that this is part of an AT&T’s business customer initiative to help companies increase their productivity and flexibility. AT&T won’t just be pushing the iPads plain-Jane, however. They’ll be served up with “attractive” post-paid data plans that are “available through AT&T business account reps.” This blogger thinks unlimited data lives somewhere in those plans, but no longer one for the “consumer” end of things. Interestingly, AT&T also says the offer stands for customers who have their mobile phone paid for by their employer, too.

The release also detailed that a lot of businesses asked for AT&T to provide and iPad strategy, so AT&T stepped up to the plate. The iPad will be also be made available for corporate purchase with a corporate service subscription from AT&T.
